Intelligence Case Studies

A South Asian government established a War Crimes Tribunal to carry out “show trials” to eliminate political adversaries through a series of threats including imposition of death sentences meted out by kangaroo courts. Guardian identified secret taped Skype conversations showing government officials had corrupted the supposedly independent judiciary, predetermining verdicts and judicial sentencing before trial courts had begun taking evidence. Guardian was able to verify the identities of specific government officials and complicit prosecutors involved in the conversations. Guardian’s findings were showcased in international media – print, television and social outlets – around the world at the client’s request.
An international watchdog contacted Guardian with secret audio tapes implicating top army officials in an African nation engaged in a plot to disenfranchise voters in opposition-friendly states which would guarantee election victories for the ruling junta. Guardian reviewed clandestine audio tapes obtained by the client and positively identified through forensic voice analysis the voices of corrupt military officials behind the scheme. Guardian’s findings were shared, at the client’s request, with major international media resulting in the shutdown of major portions of the plot. Later a key general confirmed Guardian’s findings and admitted his own part in the illegal plot.
